Sheila Rauen

I practically forced my Mom and my Aunt to teach me to sew as a child and I loved drawing and making things. I majored in drawing and painting in college. My work has evolved over the years to include combining the above techniques to create mixed media pieces mostly featuring animals as subjects. I find everything from insects to birds, cats, dogs, etc fascinating. I enjoy making the viewer smile and feel a connection to the “stories” in my work.
