Nationally-recognized for intricate, layered collage paintings, hand-stitched textile “drawings,” mixed-media assemblages. Work in many public, private and museum collections include KMA, Knoxville Convention Center; Evansville Museum of Art, History and Science; Huntsville Museum of Art; UVA. Curator and juror. Published author: articles, art reviews and essays. Work featured on book covers and illustrations. Lectures and classes on collage and mixed-media. Born in Baltimore, Maryland. Studied painting at M.I.C.A and U. Maryland. M.A in cultural anthropology, University of New Mexico. Volunteer work: Collage Artists of America [board of directors]; Knox County Master Gardeners.
