Griffin Allman

Griffin Allman (he/him), is a second year MFA candidate in painting and drawing at the University of Tennessee. In his studio practice, Griffin explores and experiments with painting and drawing media alongside found objects and surfaces to create texturally-rich work that emphasizes process over product. He has specific interests in topics such as geometry, graffiti and visual pollution that are incorporated into an artistic process that operates between the geometric and the organic. Griffin received his BFA in Painting and his BA in Art Education from Kent State University in 2021.
