Diahn Ott

Former Air Force brat and Knoxville resident Diahn Ott holds a Master of Science degree in structural geology from the University of Alabama. While her formal education focused on science, she has always been a maker of things, from drawings and paintings to hand-knitted scarves. Since 2015 she’s been focused primarily on ceramics, incorporating the painting skills she had already developed into the surface decoration of the pots she makes on her wheel. While pottery has become the main staple of her portfolio, she still paints and makes both physical and digital collages.
