Andrea Larsen

Andrea Larsen is a Mexican-American ceramic artist living in Maryville, TN. She received her BFA in Studio Art and MS in Art Education from the University of Tennessee. Ms. Larsen teaches little artists at Clayton-Bradley Academy. Her artwork is currently a part of the 12th International Art Competition in Salt Lake City, Utah, “All Are Alike Unto God.”

Inspired by quilts, Andrea celebrates the beauty of all people in her sculptures. “This collection of black and white quilts is a direct response to the black and white thinking we are battling in our society. Instead of fighting against opposing opinions, I imagine a world where we not only get along, but create something beautiful as we live side by side with those who look at life differently than we do.”
